An integral component of Life in Deep Ellum Cultural Center, Mokah Coffee & Tea is a full-service coffee shop serving Deep Ellum and urban Dallas.  The existing shop had been well loved, but had begun to show signs of wear. A redesign was undertaken to provide more light, openness, and a greater ability to focus on the Life in Deep Ellum’s central goal: Community. A large communal table is framed by a wrap-around architectural element. The bar was completely rebuilt and clad using wood salvaged from a previously existing deck on-site.
